3 week?!

Wow, I can't believe how fast these weeks are going by! Classes have started now, so I spend most of the day busy. I'm so excited about all of the amazing things that God is doing here! We have had two guest speakers and they were both awesome and I really enjoyed listening to them.

On the third thursday of every month we have a critique, so everyone from the different tracks put their art up everywhere, and the musicians have performances and it's a lot of fun! It's almost like a museum! haha I worked with a girl from the graphic design track on a project this past week. She did the graphics, and I wrote the articles and gathered information and we made a series of 3 posters. They turned out really cool and it was fun to collaborate with another artist on a project like that.

Tomorrow I am going with a few of the guys to this old abandoned factory to take pictures and IM SO EXCITED! I went a few weeks ago also, but never in the evening so, the lighting will be really cool! YAYY hehe and also, we're all going on a small trip to switzerland on Sunday, and then coming back to Germany on Wednesday.

my birthday was a few days ago and it was a wonderful day! My lovely roommates gave me chocolate and 2 cakes! How spoiled am I?! and a bunch of us went out to the field in town and played soccer! such a good day!

First Week!

Hello there my dearest blog readers!
This week has been awesome! I am in love with Herrnhut! The forest is beautiful! The sky is bright blue with GIANT, fluffy, whimsical clouds. And the people in the DTS with me are awesome! They are all so cool and I think I we will all be great friends!

We all get assigned a 'chore' that we do everyday to keep the castle clean and tidy. We got to choose our chore that we help with, but then we keep that same chore. I make dinner for everyone with one of my roommates, Bethany. I have 5 roommates. Marie is from Norway, Eva is from Germany, Alli is from northern California, Bethany is from Colorado, and Kaitlyn is from Arizona. I am very happy with my roommates, they are all really great.

The other day i was sitting outside writing, and then a bus of other YWAMERS yelled out the window, "hey Becca, Want to come to Czech?!" and I said "check what?!" and they replied in laughter "no no, Czech Republic!" and so i weighed my options.... "Sure, can I go get some stuff?" and the Australian Girl, Laura shouted "Can you come as you are?!?!" and So i jumped in the bus in my slippers and we were off to Czech Republic. We went to a mall there and saw some rad buildings; A court house, which reminded me of the Beauty and the Beast castle, an old museum, and some others that i didn't know what they were.

Today Katya, Janina (pronounced Yanina), Eva, and I went into town and took pictures and ran errands and adventured. Janina and Eva are from Germany, so they have been teaching me German. Eva is one of my roommates, and she's also been teaching me to read German. Jonas, who is from Switzerland, let me borrow a bible that is half German, half English so I can practice. I'm having a lot of fun learning!

On wednesday we start our art classes and I'm really looking forward to that. I am doing writing and photography. YAY ok well I better go, I have limited Internet =) bye bye for now!

Oh, Just 3 more days...NO BIG DEAL!!!!

I cannot express to you how much I am looking forward to this experience. God is So So very good! Can I just tell you, that with LOTS of prayer, the help of wonderful friends, and nothing short of a beautiful miracle from Jesus, I HAVE RAISED ALL THE SUPPORT I NEED FOR MY TRIP! So incredible!!! I am so grateful for all of the amazing people God has put into my life to help me and support me both financially and emotionally!

I am concerned about not being able to exercise during the winter, since it will be cold and snowy...so I am going to buy a yoga/pilates/some sort of fun work out dvd so the other girls and I can put it on our laptops and work out together! HAHA I think it would be fun, I imagine us all in 80's work out attire and sporting rad sweat bands. Yes, that sounds like fun to me!!

I am also concerned about not being able to fit everything in my bags, thus I am going to refine my packing list and remove the unnecessaries such as, extra shoes and toiletries (as I can buy extra toiletries at the store if i need them) (( and i just don't need a lot of extra shoes)) hehe

So anyways, I am leaving in just a matter of days and I am going to miss my Wyldlife girls a lot! I hope that they keep in touch with me and tell me how their first year of high school is going!! I'm sad that I'm going to miss the beginning of this next chapter of their lives, but I am excited to start the next chapter of mine!

Ok I do believe I've talked your ears off enough.

6 DAYS

So, I've just finished packing...kind of. I've got a few last minute things i'll need to some how squeeze into my bags.

Last year my friend Katie was a nanny in Paris and I went to visit her. While we were there we decided to make a video of us dancing in front of all the big monuments which we named 'Becca and Katie Hit Paris'. And we vowed to make a series. The next one would be titled 'Becca and Katie Hit Irvine'.

Yesterday we finally made our video!! I hope you enjoy it!!

And Here's the link to our original video... www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hdME-7fZvQ

We went to all the big "monuments" in Irvine! It was so much fun....

We embarrassed Richard a little bit...but he had fun anyways

And then we were tired...

Anyways, I am so looking forward to my trip! This next chapter is going to be a big change. I have been learning so much these past few months especially. Learning about TRUSTING God!! and so, I have begun to trust and he has not let me down! And I'm so excited to see what else he surprises me with =)  Life is so cool!

11 DAYS! No big deal...

I'm Leaving in 11 days! I think I will miss my bed. I'm still fundraising for my trip but I am just so much closer! THANK YOU JESUS! YOU ARE SO VAIR VAIR AWESOME AND WONDERFUL! xoxo

So, The big benefit concert was the other day ago. Last night to be exact, and it turned out really well! I am super excited about the way everything came together!

4 Bands played and 2 guys played solo
All were amazing and we were so blessed to have them there!

We sold delicious baked goods that my wonderful friend Ari and I worked hard on

And as much fun as it was, we are so relieved that it's over!

And I want to make a special thanks to Katie and her Grandpa for helping make this possible! xoxo

anyways, I've got to say, i've never been so at ease. I just feel ready and excited and happy. It's going to be rad. ALSO Thank you so very much to everyone that God has put into my life to help guide me and support me!

On another note:

I WENT TO FLUGTAG TODAY!! If you are wondering what Flugtag is, Let me explain it to you. It's this extremely genius idea that someone came up with where you build a human powered flying device of some sort and run it down the pier and launch off the edge in order to see how far you can fly before you hit the water. "Brilliant!" I'm sure you're saying. But wait! There's more. The event is sponsored by Red Bull so EVERYONE is pumped up with caffein, which adds to the wonderful craziness that is Flugtag! Please enjoy a few of these photos:

This is the Chuck Norris "Airplane"

"The Green Team"

It was a ton of fun! I went with My dad and brother and it was nice to spend time with them!

Oh and HI CASEY I LOVE YOU!! TELL YOUR PARENTS AND MATTIE AND JESSE HI TOO!!!

PROVIDER,FAITHFUL,TRUSTWORTHY

Today has started out so interesting. I woke up and puttsed about the house and decided to get on my computer. I first logged on to Facebook where I had a message from one of the staff members at the DTS I'm going to in Germany. He sends out encouragement to me and the other students during the week and today's was about God being trustworthy and faithful. He mentioned that it's like your mom. Your mom is ALWAYS your mom. And not only is your mom, your mom... Mom is her name. Some of God's many names are HEALER, PROVIDER, FAITHFUL...and he ALWAYS is!! Just like my mom is always Mom. God is always Provider, Healer, Faithful.... And that really hit my heart. Why would I question if God is going to provide for me and take care of me?

THEN!!! (That's right folks, there's more!) I had been on the C28 website to see who to e-mail about donating something to my fundraiser to raffle but then I saw a prayer request button and felt lead to seek prayer instead. So...I emailed the prayer people and this morning I got an email. The lady that emailed prayed for me and she spoke of God being FAITHFUL and TRUSTING in him that he will PROVIDE!

Dude, that's for sure 2 separate people from 2 separate places in the world AT THE SAME TIME telling me to Trust. And what have I been struggling with? TRUST! I have not been simply trusting that God is going to take care of me! It seems so simple, but It is for sure a struggle I have. So, in short. I need to stop worrying and just throw all of my worries into God's worthy hands and let him lead the way. I LOVE YOU ABBA!

17 Days...

I am leaving in 17 days. So much to do..so little time! but I was sending some encouraging verses to a friend, and in turn, was encouraged myself! God is so funny sometimes how he does stuff. I LOVE IT! I love the one that says, Dont worry about tomorrow, today has enough worry of it's own. I can't find it right now, but that one especially hits my heart!

So my friend Kate (who is not only an awesome person, but a wonderful photographer) is doing a project called GO: A portrait of a missionary. and she did a fun portrait session with me. I am so excited to see how it all comes out! but here are a few of the photos!

A couple of the necklaces I'm making and selling to raise money

I'm making and selling the earrings I'm wearing as well =)
